　　無數次的災難與戰爭，讓人類的數量銳減，似乎也因此使得宇宙變得更加寧靜。而今人工智能機器人已在宇宙間占有絕對的統治地位，人類卻只有兩成左右。雖然科學極大進步，可惜人類無法突破壽命的百年限定，他們匆匆而來，默默而終，不知不覺走向滅亡。　　帶有濃重昭和氣息的宇宙飛船中，生活著編號為722的人形機器人鈴木洋子（神樂坂惠 飾）。她與AI機器人相伴，永遠奔波在漫長的宇宙旅途中。她的日常百無聊賴，洗衣服、縫扣子、剪指甲、打掃衛生，孤獨與靜寂永無止境。洋子是一名宇宙快遞員，她所投遞的貨物卻都是些看似無關緊要的小物件。每次投遞需要花費數年時間，縱使瞬間旅行已成可能，不過她卻似乎有什么理由消磨這漫長的時光。一顆孤獨的星球上，仿佛被全宇宙所遺忘的人類，在破敗的街道上等待著遠方的造訪……

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
