四重唱
瑪吉·史密斯,湯姆·康特奈,比利·康諾利,保利娜·科林斯,邁克爾·剛本,謝里丹·史密斯,安德魯·薩克斯,格溫妮絲·瓊斯,特雷弗·皮科克,大衛·萊爾,邁克爾·伯恩,羅尼·福克斯,帕特里夏·洛夫蘭德,伊琳·珀威爾,盧克·紐伯里故事發生在一間專門面向歌劇退休演員開放的養老院里，維爾福（比利·康諾利 Billy Connolly 飾）、雷吉（湯姆·康特奈 Tom Courtenay 飾）和茜茜（寶林·科林斯 Pauline Collins 飾）是那里的明星居民。每一年，這三個出色的演唱者都會通過他們的三重唱向社會募集資金，用以維持養老院的運作。雖然養老院的規模不大，但每一個老人都能在那里找到快樂和安寧。 簡（瑪吉·史密斯 Maggie Smith 飾）的出現打破了眾人寧靜的生活，這個高傲又好斗的女人是歌劇界名聲大噪的歌唱家，同時，她還是雷吉的前妻。受生活所迫，簡不得已住進了這間養老院，前夫雷吉的存在更是讓她心中憤憤不平。由于簡的加入，三重唱變成了四重唱，但排練的效果并沒有因為一個得力唱匠的加入而有所提高，麻煩和爭執接踵而至。

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present. Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
