The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart. Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory? n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in. What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts. On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired. One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places. Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

吳鎮(zhèn)宇,張家輝,李燦森,黃秋生,??〗?羅冠蘭,李曉彤,惠天賜,江錦榮,黎彼得阿細(xì)(張家輝 飾)是一位名不見(jiàn)經(jīng)傳的泊車小弟,一次偶然中,他同舊日好友扒房(李燦森 飾)重逢,欣喜之下,阿細(xì)亦找到了自己未來(lái)的道路。就這樣,阿細(xì)經(jīng)扒房介紹,來(lái)到了阿查(吳鎮(zhèn)宇 飾)所經(jīng)營(yíng)的討債公司工作,然而,對(duì)于阿查的為人,阿細(xì)不敢恭維。一次行動(dòng)中,阿細(xì)的聰明機(jī)靈得到了某黑道大哥的賞識(shí),聯(lián)系了兩位好友,阿細(xì)決定“跳槽”。在黑道大哥的幫助之下,阿細(xì)成立了自己的討債公司,并將公司經(jīng)營(yíng)得風(fēng)生水起,自己也因此而遇見(jiàn)了命中注定的情人。不幸的是,阿查并不愿意放過(guò)背叛自己的阿細(xì),他設(shè)計(jì)陷害阿細(xì),讓他陷入了人生的低谷。
百年好合
鄭秀文,古天樂(lè),李冰冰,林雪,韓君婷,張錦程,夏雨,顏穎思富豪洪飛虎(古天樂(lè) 飾)因怪病找到峨嵋派掌門王鳳(鄭秀文 飾),她對(duì)飛虎的生性傲慢毫無(wú)好感,于是用盡各種奇怪的方法治療飛虎。王鳳的師姐李莫愁(李冰冰 飾)突然出現(xiàn),并揚(yáng)言要鏟除峨嵋派。未免傷及無(wú)辜,王鳳盡快醫(yī)好了飛虎。知道了王鳳的惡作劇之后,飛虎憤然離開(kāi)了?! 榱伺c師姐決戰(zhàn),王鳳急需練好“傷心斷腸劍”,但從未經(jīng)歷傷心之苦的她 無(wú)法領(lǐng)悟“百年好合”這一招式的要領(lǐng),王鳳在眾人的勸說(shuō)下決定求助與飛虎。飛虎不計(jì)前嫌,用盡辦法讓王鳳傷心,練好招式。王鳳又能否成功?
遇見(jiàn)世界
