　　在報館任職的驃叔（董驃 飾）因為工作的關(guān)系帶著全家到加拿大工作。一家五口都全身心投入新環(huán)境新生活中，驃叔卻因得罪上司被解雇了。由于大女兒、二女兒（李麗珍 飾）已開始了學(xué)業(yè)，他唯有帶著妻子驃嬸（沈殿霞 飾）與最小的女兒回到香港繼續(xù)生活，生活卻比以前更艱難了。驃嬸無意中發(fā)現(xiàn)了一張加拿大的頭獎彩票，獎金是兩千萬加幣。　　由于不夠錢到加國，驃叔硬著頭皮向舊上司借。同樣受到經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的上司設(shè)法要奪取驃叔的彩票。驃叔一家頑強(qiáng)對抗，保住了彩票，卻無法在領(lǐng)獎時限截止前趕到。　　一家人傷心流淚，悲傷之中發(fā)現(xiàn)時間上出現(xiàn)了時差，領(lǐng)獎的時間還沒截止。

聯(lián)合艦隊司令長官：山本五十六

　　1940年9月，德、意、日三國成立同盟。山本五十六被任命為日本聯(lián)合艦隊總司令，并不得不“違背自己的意愿”，接受命令對美、英、荷等國開戰(zhàn)。1941后12月8日零時，山本五十六親自下達(dá)了“1280”密碼命令，并親自率領(lǐng)部隊偷襲美國珍珠港，從而對美軍太平洋艦隊造成重創(chuàng)，大勝而歸。隨后山本五十六建議與美國講和，但意見未被采納。在指揮中途島戰(zhàn)役時，由于戰(zhàn)略上的重大失誤，日本海軍遭受慘重?fù)p失。形勢陡然逆轉(zhuǎn)，美軍攻勢如虹，日軍兵敗如山倒。瓜達(dá)康納島上有三萬多名日本陸軍，他們遭到了美軍飛機(jī)的晝夜轟炸，陷于絕境。山本五十六派出艦隊炮擊美軍基地，協(xié)助尚存的陸軍安全撤退。1943年4月18日，山本五十六為了鼓動前線部隊的士氣，乘坐一架轟炸機(jī)到前線視察。沒想到日軍的密碼被美軍竊取，美軍派出空軍機(jī)隊將山本五十六的座機(jī)擊落，一代軍人山本五十六就此碎尸于太平洋上空。
