　　1999年釜山的一個小村莊里，女學生恩智（劉慧英飾）被害身亡，她的哥哥張宇（周元飾）也失去了唯一的親人，他決心一定要查出殺害妹妹的兇手。由于一點線索都沒有，張宇不得不借助能預知死亡的少女（李柔英飾）的力量來追查真兇，并在追查的過程中，盯上了小區內平常人緣和口碑都不錯的藥店藥師閔藥局（劉海鎮飾），雖然沒有證據，但是張宇卻認定他就是“那個家伙”，于是開始24小時緊盯著閔藥局  。

　　In the year 2961, the time is after humanity and nature has recovered the land. A hunter named Cygnus is called to rise above his duty. Cygnus must voyage across the treacherous landscape to defend his people. Sent by Nova, the matriarch of the band, she acts based on her vision for Cygnus to find a seed of hope. The future of Last Arc is for him to discover, Cygnus ventures into a hostile landscape in search of an answer for his people. On this journey of encountering many traps and dangers, Cygnus discovers what has been hunting him is his identity.

 沙漠里流傳著一句話：天出血，人死絕。故事發生在舊時代的西北，這樣一片沙漠地帶，它講述了一個愛情悲劇故事。年青的問九因鄉鄰間缺水爭執而出逃在外，待回來時，曾與之心心相印的秀秀姑娘已被族叔迎娶，成了他的嬸嬸。水繼續威脅著人們的生存，問九的族叔為富不仁，竟以空手能否從滾開的油鍋里撈起銅錢來決定人們在綠洲的去留，他狠毒地騙問九替他撈起銅錢卻又暗地加害問九。問九奮起抗爭，砍死了族叔，被官府捉捕。牢獄未能囚住問九渴求自由的心。他一次次尋求機會越獄。數十年后，當問九逃出虎口，卻又被沙漠里的土匪抓住逼他帶路，對秀秀的愛情支撐著問九最后的生命，他再次出逃，掙扎著爬回自己的故鄉。但黃沙已無情地吞噬了這里的一切，唯有刻著綠洲村的石柱還未被淹沒。問九手撫石柱瞑目在這荒原上。荒原上，彩霞滿天。天出血，人死絕。
