　　因調查的案件涉及政治人物，刑警星野一正（津田寛治飾）被“發配”至調查一ddd。該部門主要負責即將超過訴訟期的懸案，屬于獻少人問津的清冷部門。星夜不改追查真相的本性，開始查閱歷年文獻。一宗14年前的案件偶然映入他的眼簾：某捷克貴族后裔美夜子?羅君貝爾克（杉本彩飾）的女傭被殘忍殺害，嫌犯至今下落不明。一方面為美夜子的美貌所吸引，一方面決定讓死者的冤屈昭雪，星夜開始著手此案的調查。他走訪美夜子的別墅，得知真正的罪犯是一個名叫黑沼右京（要潤飾）的年輕實業家。他偷偷潛入黑沼的府邸，卻見到難以置信的一幕。由此，星夜開始逐步了解事件的真相，也慢慢了解到美夜子和黑沼真實的身份……

In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
