　　19世紀(jì)末的西班牙巴塞羅那，阿圖爾·普拉特（塞爾吉·馬特烏 Sergi Mateu 飾）經(jīng)營著慈父望遠(yuǎn)鏡行，他事業(yè)有成，家境富裕，但是愛女喬安娜（芭芭拉·格娜加 Bárbara Goenaga 飾）因出生時(shí)患有腦炎，因此自幼罹患了一種極為罕見的病癥——失認(rèn)癥（agnosia）。這種病癥讓她在身體各個(gè)感官都健全的情況下，無法順利地認(rèn)知周遭的人與物。　　阿圖爾長(zhǎng)久以來都在努力尋找治好女兒的辦法，而他所掌握的商業(yè)機(jī)密也都成為同行乃至合作伙伴急欲得到的珍寶。父親臨終之際，將商業(yè)機(jī)密托付給了喬安娜。與此同時(shí)，愛情與誘惑接連降臨，而在這份看似浪漫的追求背后，利欲熏心的人們用無情卑鄙的手段傷害著無助的喬安娜……

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
